Volunteering for WHA
IMPORTANT MISSION CONSIDERATIONS
We hope you can join us for a once-in-a-lifetime journey with a team of compassionate, competent and committed individuals. Helping others through a WHA Mission is an amazing opportunity and we appreciate your consideration in committing to an upcoming Mission.
Once you fill out our Volunteer Form, someone from the WHA Team will contact you to go over Mission details, policies, conditions, your skills set and credentials and other information.
It is very important to know that while our Medical & Dental Missions are rewarding and inspiring, they can also be heartbreaking and often rigorous and physically demanding.
2020 Mission locations:
Myanmar is hot and dry, with temperatures rising into the mid-90's Farenheit on many days. We often work in austere conditions with no air conditioning.
Bhutan is cool and mountainous, with altitude changes as we travel. It is important for volunteers to be in as good of shape as possible to deal with a variety of conditions.
This year, The Bahamas will offer a challenging set of circumstances with ongoing recovery from Hurricane Dorian. We will get information from local officials regarding conditions in which we will be seeing individuals in need.
In all cases we are needed to provide critical support to those who otherwise don't have it. Please contact us with any questions, or click HERE to fill out our Volunteer Form.
If you are interested in volunteering stateside to track Mission participants as they travel, please let us know. We are grateful for our administrative support team and appreciate volunteers who can contribute time and energy to help. Thank you!
Suffering is less when we are there to help...
